Don't you know? Then listen to the story of an ordinary carpenter from
Nazareth, who was fated to become the greatest person in the history of
Mankind. The
Bible says: "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was set from God
into a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was
Joseph of the house of David;
and the virgin's name was Mary". (Luke 1:26,27) (Angel and Mary appear on the stage.) Angel:
Mary, the Lord is with you. You are blessed among women. Don't be afraid,
Mary. You have found favour with God: you'll give a birth to a son
and call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest. There will be no end of his kingdom. Mary: I'm
an ordinary woman. How can it be? I even haven't seen a man. Angel: The Holy Ghost will come upon you and the
power of the Highest will overshadow
you, therefore that holy thing which will be born of you will be called the Son of God. Mary: "Be it unto me according to thy word..."
(Luke 1:38) Scene II Narrator: Times went on and the day of Mary's
childbirth was coming. And in those days "there went out a decree from
Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. And
all went to be taxed, every one into his own city". (Luke 2:1,3) (Joseph and Mary appear on the stage.) And Joseph and Mary also went from Galilee,
out of the city of Nazareth to Judeah to the city of David called Bethlehem
"to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child".
(Luke 2:5) Mary: Oh! I'm so tired. I can't move any more.There
is no room for us in the inns. But my poor child, only you gives me
power. Joseph: Look, Mary! There is an old stable under the trees. Let's go
there. Mary: Joseph, don't! You see,
birds have made a nest on it. If we come in they will make a noise and the guides will find us
out Joseph: Don't be afraid. Rely on God's will and He will not leave us.
Believe in our God and He'll reward you. (They
came into the stable.) 1 Narrator: "And she brought forth her
first-born son, and wrapped him in a swadling clothes, and laid him in a
manger". (Luke 2:7) Scene
III (Shepherds are
sitting by the fire.) Narrator:
"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by
night". (Luke 2:8) 1st shepherd: You know Ceasar Augustus
decreed a tax. Everyone should be taxed in the city where he was born. 2nd shepherd: Now I understand
why there are so many people in the city. All the inns are overcrowded. 3rd

everybody is waiting an unusual baby... The Savior... King of kings! 3rd
shepherd: Silence! What is it? (A
song "Angels We Have Heard on High.) Angel:
Don't be afraid. I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to
all people. "For
unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Crist the
Lord". (Luke 2:11) 1st shepherd: Glory to God in the Highest! 2nd
shepherd: And on Earth peace. 3rd shepherd: Good will toward men. 1st
